Welcome to the second issue of amag, Amnet’s monthly e-magazine newsletter. This month we’re excited about Amnet’s involvement in Movember, a great initiative promoting men’s health and a great excuse to get hairy.  Read on to find out how you can get involved.

This November we’re getting involved with Movember.

Yes Movember (the month formerly known as November) is an annual charity event held during November to raise awareness of men's health issues .

We’d like you to get involved in our Movember competition and grow a Mo for charity. As long as you can grow a Mo, it’s really easy to participate and there are some mo’tastic categories to enter. You can enter for the Best Mo category, Best Horse-Shoe Mo category and Most Comical Mo category. The winner of the Best Mo category will win 3 months FREE broadband service with the other categories winning one months FREE broadband service.

Here’s what you do:

Step 1: Start Movember clean shaven and send an email to amag@amnet.com.au with the subject 'I want to get hairy!' to register yourself in the Amnet competition.

Step 2:  Then get Mo’in according to the Movember Rules  and be sure to photograph it. We’ll need evidence so make sure you have a before and after shot.

Step 3: Come the end of Movember, submit your Mo pics to amag@amnet.com.au with the subject 'I like to Mo!'.

Winners will be notified by email and the Movember champs will be announced in the December issue of amag.

To get behind this great initiative, Amnet will be donating $20 from every sale in November to the Movember Foundation. October's Hot Tip: preventing Spyware!

Prevention is always the best medicine especially when it comes to spyware. Here’s a handy antispyware tip; it’s called McAfee SiteAdvisor, currently a free Internet browser plug-in (IE & Firefox) that proactively saves your computer from spyware. It does so by alerting you to 'suspicious' web sites through a handy rating system utilising three icons. These ratings are then applied to links and even displayed in Google, Yahoo and MSN search results.

Whilst it won’t eliminate spyware, it will help you avoid sites guilty of planting their 'spyware seed' on your computer. You can download this handy plug-in and find more information on SiteAdvisor’s website. Happy spyware hunting!
